When dealing with rodents, there are basically three options for control.

  • 1. Baiting
  • 2. Mechanical Traps
  • 3. Glue Boards

Morris pest control normally uses option 1. {Baiting). We use a slow acting bait, on purpose to minimize bait shyness. Rodents are very intelligent and when they see one of their “Buddy’s” eating bait and die... they will not eat it. This slow acting bait also gives more opportunity for them to exit the structure before they die.

Keep in mind. Anytime bait is used there is a small risk of the rodent dying in a wall or attic and creating an odor issue for a period of time.

This happens less than 5% of the time. Most of the time they just go away and die.

Mechanical traps need checking often and are high maintenance that could result in multiple service calls.

Glue Boards can be effective for mice, however rats can sometimes pull off of the adheasive.
